Notable Tech, Materials & Construction

40mm Aerodynamic Rim Profile

The 40mm rim depth gives the AR40 meaningful aerodynamic benefit without making the front wheel nervous in crosswinds. This is ideal for riders who want speed on flats and rolling terrain while still keeping confident steering on windy Brisbane bayside roads or high-speed descents.

25mm Internal Width

The wide 25mm internal rim allows modern road and all-road tyres to sit with improved casing support. This can improve grip, comfort, cornering stability and rolling efficiency compared with narrow older-style rims.

Hookless Tubeless Design

The hookless tubeless rim profile is designed around modern tyre systems. When matched with approved tyres, it allows lower pressures, improved comfort and reduced pinch-flat risk, making it well suited to rough Australian chip seal and light gravel connectors.

ENVE Molded Spoke and Valve Holes

ENVE’s molded spoke and valve hole process keeps carbon fibres continuous around high-stress areas rather than cutting through them after moulding. This improves rim strength, spoke-hole durability and long-term wheel reliability.

ENVE INNERDRIVE Foundation Hub

The Foundation INNERDRIVE hub system is designed for smooth rolling, durability and low-maintenance performance. The front hub is built for consistent bearing support and dependable operation across daily riding, training and endurance use.

Sapim CX-Ray Spokes and Brass Nipples

Sapim CX-Ray spokes are widely respected for their strength, low weight and aerodynamic profile. Brass nipples add long-term durability, especially in real-world weather, humidity and service conditions.

Gravel-Qualified Strength

Although the AR40 is a road and all-road performance wheel, it is tested to ENVE gravel standards. That makes it a strong choice for riders who want one front wheel that can handle fast road riding, broken surfaces and occasional gravel without feeling fragile.
