Compatibility Notes:

The Overfast Vela Carbon Crankarm must be selected to match the correct axle standard and bottom bracket system.
Spider interface must be selected correctly for the intended chainring or power meter setup.
This product is not a universal crankarm for every bike.
Bottom bracket compatibility, frame clearance, chainline and front derailleur setup should be checked before installation.
Professional installation is recommended for correct torque, chainline, chainring fitment and drivetrain adjustment.

Carbon Fibre Crankarm Construction

The Overfast Vela Carbon Crankarm uses carbon fibre construction to reduce weight while maintaining stiffness for efficient power transfer. This makes it a serious upgrade for riders building a lightweight road or gravel bike where every gram matters.

Lightweight Road and Gravel Fitments

The Overfast Vela Carbon Crankarm is available in road and gravel-compatible axle options, allowing riders to build around either SRAM DUB or Shimano 24mm bottom bracket systems. This flexibility makes it suitable for a wide range of high-end frames and drivetrains.

EASTON-Compatible Spider Interface

The EASTON-compatible spider interface gives riders access to a broad ecosystem of chainring and spider options. This is especially useful for custom builds, gravel gearing setups and riders who want to tune chainring size to local terrain.

Optional SRM-Compatible Spider Interface

The optional SRM-compatible spider interface is a key feature for riders building around power measurement. It gives performance cyclists a cleaner route to a power meter crank configuration without moving away from a lightweight carbon crankarm platform.

Short Crank Length Availability

The 160mm, 162.5mm and 165mm options are particularly relevant for modern bike fitting. Shorter crankarms are increasingly popular among riders seeking improved hip clearance, smoother cadence, better aero positioning and more comfort on long rides.

44mm Chainline

The 44mm chainline gives the Overfast Vela Carbon Crankarm a practical modern road and gravel setup target. Correct chainline is important for efficient shifting, drivetrain quietness and reducing unnecessary chain angle.

Crank Length Options:

160mm
162.5mm
165mm
167.5mm
170mm
172.5mm

Crank Length Guidance:

160mm to 165mm: Ideal for smaller riders, aero road positions, high-cadence riders and those seeking better hip clearance.
167.5mm to 170mm: Strong all-round road and gravel fit for many riders.
172.5mm: Traditional road fit for taller riders or those who prefer longer crank leverage.

Axle and Bottom Bracket Fitments:

SRAM DUB 28.99mm
Shimano 24mm road
Shimano 24mm gravel version

Spider Interface Options:

EASTON-compatible
SRM-compatible option

Chainline:

44mm

The Overfast Vela Carbon Crankarm is best suited to performance-focused road and gravel riders who want a lighter crank setup, exact crank length choice and premium compatibility for custom drivetrain builds. On hilly road routes, gravel climbs and long endurance rides, a lighter and correctly sized crankarm can improve bike feel, cadence comfort and overall efficiency.

Product Care

Use a qualified mechanic for installation.
Check bottom bracket compatibility before fitting.
Use the correct torque settings on crank bolts and spider hardware.
Inspect crankarms after crashes, rock strikes or transport damage.
Keep the crank and bottom bracket area clean.
Avoid pressure washing around the bottom bracket.
Check for creaks, play or unusual movement during regular servicing.
Keep chainrings clean and correctly torqued.
Replace worn chains before they damage chainrings.
Have drivetrain alignment checked after installation.
Do not use incompatible spiders, chainrings or bottom bracket parts.

Warranty Information

Warranty coverage is subject to Overfast or retailer terms and conditions.
Warranty generally applies to manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship.
Crash damage, incorrect installation, over-torquing, incompatible bottom brackets, incorrect spider fitment, pedal thread damage, impact damage and normal wear are generally not covered.
Crankarm lifespan depends on installation quality, rider power, terrain, pedal installation, bottom bracket condition and maintenance.
Professional installation is strongly recommended because crankarms are safety-critical drivetrain components.

Dedicated independent long-form reviews of the Overfast Vela Carbon Crankarm are limited because it is a newer specialist lightweight crankarm product.
