Compatibility Notes:

The Farsports Carbon Thru Axle Kit is designed around interchangeable threaded ends, but it still must be configured correctly for the exact frame and fork.
Thru axle length, thread pitch, diameter and head style must be checked before installation.
It is not suitable to guess fitment based only on bike brand.
Incorrect axle setup can damage the frame or compromise wheel security.
Professional installation is recommended if axle specifications are unknown.

Toray T700/T800 Carbon Fibre Construction

The Farsports Carbon Thru Axle Kit uses Toray T700/T800 high-modulus carbon fibre, chosen for its strong stiffness-to-weight ratio. This construction helps reduce weight compared with many standard stock thru axles while maintaining the rigidity needed for disc brake road and gravel bikes.

Triangular Cross-Section

The axle body uses an innovative triangular profile rather than a basic round tube shape. This design is promoted for improved tensile strength and structural stability, helping the axle resist load while keeping weight extremely low.

Replaceable Threaded End System

The standout feature of the Farsports Carbon Thru Axle Kit is its modular threaded end design. The kit includes 10 different threaded ends, allowing riders or mechanics to configure the axle for different compatible frames. This makes it more future-proof than many fixed-spec thru axles.

High Stiffness-to-Weight Ratio

By combining carbon construction with modular hardware, the Farsports Carbon Thru Axle Kit is designed to deliver meaningful weight savings without making the bike feel less secure through corners, descents or hard out-of-saddle efforts.

Reusable Across Compatible Bikes

Because the threaded heads can be changed, the Farsports Carbon Thru Axle Kit may be transferable if the rider upgrades frames or owns multiple bikes with different axle thread standards. That gives it stronger long-term value than a single-frame-specific lightweight axle.

Premium Lightweight Hardware Philosophy

This is a marginal-gains style upgrade suited to riders who already value lightweight wheels, carbon cockpit parts, performance tyres and high-end drivetrain components. It is not a flashy visible upgrade, but it supports a cleaner and lighter complete bike build.

Fit Checklist Before Purchase

Before ordering or installing, confirm:

Front axle diameter
Rear axle diameter
Front axle length
Rear axle length
Front axle thread pitch
Rear axle thread pitch
Thread engagement depth
Axle head style
Frame and fork manufacturer axle specifications
Whether any cone washers, spacers or proprietary hardware are required
Rider and bike use case, especially for gravel, touring or heavily loaded riding

Installation Notes

Match the correct threaded end before installation.
Thread the axle by hand first to avoid cross-threading.
Do not force the axle if resistance feels unusual.
Use the correct tool supplied with the kit.
Tighten to the frame or axle manufacturer’s recommended torque.
Check wheel seating and brake rotor alignment after installation.
Recheck for brake rub after the first ride.
Have a qualified mechanic inspect fitment if unsure.

The Farsports Carbon Thru Axle Kit is best suited to performance-focused riders who want to reduce weight and add a premium finishing touch to a modern road disc or gravel disc bike.

Product Care

Keep axle threads clean.
Do not force installation if thread engagement feels incorrect.
Use the supplied tools or correct fitting tool.
Use a calibrated torque wrench.
Follow frame and axle torque guidance.
Avoid over-tightening.
Inspect the carbon body after crashes, bike travel or major impacts.
Check axle torque during regular bike servicing.
Keep brake rotors aligned after wheel removal and installation.
Do not use damaged threaded inserts.
Replace the axle if there is visible cracking, thread damage or tool-interface damage.
Have a professional mechanic confirm fitment before first use if unsure.

Warranty Information

Warranty coverage is subject to Farsports Australia, Farsports and retailer terms and conditions.
Warranty generally applies to manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship.
Incorrect fitment, cross-threading, over-torquing, crash damage, tool damage, incompatible frame selection, misuse and normal wear are generally not covered.
Axle life depends on correct specification, installation quality, torque accuracy, riding conditions and maintenance habits.
Professional installation is strongly recommended because thru axles are safety-critical components.

Dedicated independent long-form reviews of the Farsports Carbon Thru Axle Kit are limited, which is normal for specialist lightweight hardware.

Some riders note that thru axles are safety-critical parts, so compatibility matters more than weight savings. Correct length, thread pitch and torque should always be confirmed before riding.
