Refined cage architecture

The SRAM RED AXS E1 Front Derailleur uses a revised cage profile designed to initiate shifts more quickly than the previous generation. The narrower cage begins guiding the chain earlier, helping it move between the inner and outer chainrings with less hesitation.

This cage is optimised around SRAM X-Range chainrings. SRAM’s matching chainring ramps, pins and tooth profiles work with the derailleur to produce more reliable shifts under realistic pedalling loads.

SRAM Road Yaw technology

SRAM Yaw technology changes the angle of the derailleur cage as it travels between the chainrings. Instead of moving only sideways, the cage follows a controlled path that keeps it better aligned with the chain as the rear derailleur moves across the cassette.

This design helps improve front-shift precision while reducing unwanted cage contact and drivetrain noise.

Electronic auto trim

The derailleur automatically makes small positional adjustments as the rider changes gears at the rear. This electronic auto-trim function helps maintain clearance between the chain and derailleur cage throughout the cassette.
