7075 aluminium construction
The Cannondale C1 Conceal Alloy Stem is manufactured from 7075 aluminium, an alloy commonly selected for premium bicycle components requiring high strength and dependable stiffness.
Compared with basic alloy stems, the C1 Conceal places greater emphasis on integrated cable management and clean frame-to-cockpit presentation. Its 210 g claimed weight is not class-leading among conventional alloy road stems, but the figure needs to be considered in the context of its concealed-routing structure and integration hardware.
Delta Steerer integration
The Cannondale C1 Conceal Alloy Stem is designed to integrate neatly with the brand’s Delta Steerer platform. On a compatible bicycle, hydraulic hoses and electronic wires can be guided into the frame while the shaped spacers form a smooth transition between the stem and head tube.
The included 5, 10 and 15 mm spacers provide several options for adjusting handlebar height. This makes the cockpit more adaptable than a one-piece integrated handlebar, although changing the spacer arrangement can still involve hydraulic hose and headset considerations.
Universal round handlebar interface
A standard 31.8 mm clamp allows the stem to be paired with many compatible aluminium or carbon handlebars. Riders can change handlebar width, reach, flare or material without replacing the stem.
This modular format is an important advantage over a one-piece cockpit because it allows the handlebar and stem to be adjusted independently. It also makes it easier to replace a damaged bar, experiment with a narrower road position or install a flared gravel handlebar.
