STEP TWO: INSPECTION
Detailed component inspection.
STEP THREE: PREVENTION
Tuning for performance and longevity.
Our Deep Cleanse service is far more comprehensive than standard bike wash. We meticulously inspect critical components before, during, and after the cleaning process, allowing us to uncover underlying issues and prevent future problems. The following components will be disassembled from the bike to clean and inspect separately.
Parts
- Chain & Cassette
- Seatpost
- Bottle Cages
- Wheelset
- Accessories
We typically remove these components from the bike and clean separately, as they are critical parts that must be thoroughly cleaned.
Dirt and grime accelerate wear and corrosion, which can compromise the performance and longevity of key components.
Bike
- Frameset
- Handlebar
- Others
Parts on the bike will be cleaned with the right cleaning product and tool to prevent scratches or paint damage and leave a smooth clean surface afterward.
Fastener
- Bottle Cages Bolts
- RD Hanger
- Cockpit
- Seatpost
- Rivet
Fasteners are among the most overlooked components on a bike, yet they play a critical role in safety and performance.
Bolts on derailleur hangers, bottle cages, and cockpit often corrode or seize over time if they are not properly maintained.
If we identify any fasteners that show signs of damage, aging, corrosion, rust, or a risk of stripping, we will notify you to discuss the necessary next steps.
Drying
The drying step is crucial especially when it comes to components assembling. It is also often overlooked by most people. Drying has to be done properly and patiently to remove any remaining moisture on the components especially interfaces before installing back onto the bike as trapped water can lead to premature rust and encourage galvanic corrosion.
Lubricating and Protecting
Once all components are completely dry, we lubricate key parts such as the front and rear derailleurs and other moving pivots to help prevent rust and corrosion. Every component is then carefully inspected again before installing onto the bike.
To finish the frame will be treated with the right bike care product accordingly that helps repel dirt and grime, keeping your bike cleaner for longer.
STEP THREE: PREVENTION
Tuning for performance and longevity.
Component Inspection
The second scope of our Season Service focuses on a thorough component inspection. We assess critical parts for wear and tear.
Leveraging our expertise, we analyse and evaluate the performance and longevity of each component to determine if it is functioning optimally or exhibiting premature wear.
Focus on Purpose
We go beyond merely gathering the condition result for all components and suggest replacements; doing so would fail to address the true purpose of servicing, which is to genuinely enhance your bike's performance and longevity.
By identifying root causes rather than simply recommending replacements, we provide targeted solutions that last long and suit your riding style.
The final step of our Season Service is Prevention.
We meticulously adjust and tune your bike to ensure it performs at its peak. Building on our deep cleanse and comprehensive inspection, combined with our discussion with you, we apply precise adjustments tailored to your bike's needs and your riding style.
We'll fine-tune the following components to ensure they reach their peak performance.
