Always check frame clearance, cassette compatibility and tyre approval before installation.

40mm Carbon Rim Profile

The 40mm rim depth gives the AR40 rear wheel a strong balance of aerodynamic performance and real-world control. It is deep enough to feel fast on flats and rolling roads, but not so deep that it becomes overly demanding in crosswinds or rough conditions.

25mm Internal Rim Width

The wide 25mm internal rim supports modern wider tyres more effectively than older narrow rims. This helps improve tyre shape, cornering grip, comfort and rolling efficiency, especially with 28mm to 35mm road and all-road tyres.

Hookless Tubeless Construction

The AR40 uses a hookless tubeless rim design. When paired with approved tubeless tyres and correct pressure, this setup improves comfort, grip and puncture resistance while reducing pinch-flat risk. It is a strong match for rough Australian chip seal and mixed-quality roads.

ENVE Molded Spoke and Valve Holes

ENVE’s molded spoke-hole process is a major strength feature. Instead of drilling through carbon after moulding, the spoke and valve holes are formed during production, helping preserve carbon fibre continuity around high-stress areas.

INNERDRIVE Rear Hub System

The ENVE Foundation INNERDRIVE rear hub is designed for efficient engagement, smooth rolling and reliable performance. A quality rear hub matters because it directly affects power transfer, drivetrain feel and long-term service confidence.

Sapim CX-Ray Spokes

Sapim CX-Ray spokes are widely respected for combining low weight, aerodynamic shaping and excellent fatigue resistance. They give the AR40 rear wheel a premium build quality suited to road training, fast riding and all-road use.

Brass Nipples

Brass nipples add durability and serviceability, especially in humid, wet or high-mileage conditions. For Brisbane and Queensland riders, this is a practical advantage over more delicate lightweight nipple systems.

Gravel-Standard Durability

Although the AR40 is fast enough for serious road riding, it is also designed with rough-road and all-road confidence in mind. That makes it suitable for riders who want one rear wheel for road speed, broken surfaces and occasional light gravel.

Normal wear, incorrect tyre use, overpressure, crash damage, impact damage, poor installation, incompatible tyres, drivetrain damage, pressure washing damage and misuse are generally not covered under standard warranty.
Professional tubeless setup is recommended for correct tyre seating, sealant use, cassette installation, rotor installation and pressure guidance.
Riders should follow current ENVE hookless tyre compatibility and inflation recommendations for safe use.
