Selle SMP Evolution Black Saddle

The Selle SMP Evolution Black Saddle is purpose‑built for cyclists with a narrow pelvis who want a lightweight, race‑ready saddle with just enough padding for all‑day comfort. Designed around Selle SMP’s proven ergonomic principles, the Evolution offers stable support, reduced pressure on sensitive areas, and efficient pedalling across a wide range of riding styles.

Popular with select specialist bike shops, this saddle is frequently recommended during professional bike fitting and bicycle servicing across Queensland, especially for riders seeking a compact, firm platform for road, gravel, cyclocross, and MTB use.

Ergonomic Design for Narrow Pelvis Support

The Evolution’s slim profile and anatomical shaping encourage natural pelvic rotation while minimising soft‑tissue pressure. This helps maintain comfort and control during long rides, hard efforts, and technical terrain—without adding unnecessary bulk.

Thin Foamed Elastomer Padding

Balanced thin padding provides vibration damping without compromising efficiency. This makes the Evolution ideal for riders accustomed to performance saddles who want a direct feel with minimal movement.

Fit Profile and Rider Suitability

• Sit bone width: 9.0–11.0 cm
• Short size: XS to S
• Unisex design: Suitable for men and women
• Bike types: Road, MTB, gravel/cyclocross, commuter/fixed, e‑bike

This profile is commonly selected during bike fitting for riders who find standard widths too wide.

Lightweight, Durable Construction

A carbon‑reinforced nylon 12 shell delivers stiffness and durability at low weight. Choose the rail option that best matches your build:

• AISI 304 stainless steel rails for everyday reliability
• Unidirectional carbon rails for maximum weight savings

Premium Materials and Finish

The black version features a real leather cover for durability and a refined look. Coloured variants use high‑quality microfiber. Italian craftsmanship ensures consistent quality and long service life.
