Gen 2 Braided Carbon Structure
The Scylon uses TIME’s Gen 2 Braided Carbon Structure, combining high-modulus M46J carbon and high-strength T800 carbon fibre. Unlike many standard carbon frames that rely mainly on pre-preg sheet layups, TIME’s braided construction is designed to improve fibre consistency, strength, stiffness and ride quality.
Resin Transfer Moulding Carbon Process
TIME’s Resin Transfer Moulding approach gives the brand precise control over resin flow, fibre position and carbon compaction. This is one of the key reasons TIME frames are known for a smooth, controlled and premium ride feel.
Aerodynamic Race Tube Shaping
The latest Scylon was redesigned around modern aero performance, with refined down tube, fork, seat tube and rear triangle shaping intended to reduce drag while preserving stiffness and handling precision.
Improved Frame Efficiency
The current-generation Scylon is promoted with a meaningful aerodynamic improvement compared with the previous generation, along with a frame weight reduction of more than 100g per size and increased torsional stiffness. The result is a race-focused frame that feels fast under power, stable at speed and responsive when sprinting or climbing.
Redesigned Aero Fork
The updated Scylon fork is shaped for lower drag and precise handling, with size-specific offsets used to help preserve consistent ride feel across frame sizes.
Powerbox Chainstay System
TIME’s Powerbox chainstay design has been re-engineered to maintain strong power transfer while reducing weight and allowing wider tyre clearance. This helps the Scylon feel immediate under acceleration, hard seated climbing and sprint efforts.
Modern 32mm Tyre Clearance
The ability to run tyres up to 32mm gives the Scylon genuine real-world versatility. Riders can choose 28mm tyres for fast race builds, 30mm tyres for year-round Brisbane road riding or 32mm tyres for extra comfort on rough chip seal and longer endurance routes.
Fully Integrated Build Potential
With internal routing and FSA SRS headset compatibility, the Scylon can be built with a clean semi-integrated or fully integrated cockpit, creating a premium aero road bike setup without compromising modern service expectations.
