Hi-MOD carbon construction

  • Clean the frame with clean water, mild bicycle wash and a soft microfibre cloth. Do not use harsh solvents, abrasive polish or aggressive degreasers on painted carbon surfaces.
  • Avoid directing a pressure washer at the headset, bottom bracket, seat binder, wheel bearings or cable-routing openings.
  • Use a calibrated torque wrench for the seatpost, stem, handlebar, brake mounts, derailleur hanger and bottle cages.
  • Apply only the assembly compounds and lubricants specified by Cannondale or the component manufacturer.
  • Keep the seatpost and internal binder clean. Investigate any slipping, creaking or visible movement before riding again.
  • Inspect the frame and fork after a crash, transport incident or substantial impact. Stop riding if cracks, soft areas, exposed fibres, paint displacement or unusual noises appear.
  • Have integrated brake hoses, headset bearings and steerer components inspected during regular bicycle servicing.
