Practical Notes

These grips are designed for flat-bar bikes, not drop-bar road bikes.
Clamp bolts should be tightened evenly and to SRAM’s recommended torque.
Always confirm handlebar diameter and available grip area before installation.

Dual Lock-On Clamp Security

The dual clamp design helps hold the grip firmly in place at both ends, reducing twisting or slipping when riding rough trails, braking hard, climbing out of the saddle or landing small drops.

Genuine SRAM Fit and Finish

As a genuine SRAM cockpit component, these grips are designed to provide reliable compatibility, clean presentation and straightforward installation on standard MTB and flat-bar handlebars.

Durable Rubber Grip Surface

The rubber grip surface is designed to give dependable hand traction for everyday riding. It suits riders who want a practical grip that feels predictable with or without gloves.

Included Bar End Plugs

The supplied end plugs help protect the open ends of the handlebar, improve cockpit presentation and help reduce the risk of exposed bar edges.

Simple Service Upgrade

Replacing worn grips can make a bike feel noticeably fresher. Old grips can become shiny, slippery, loose, torn or uncomfortable, especially after heavy trail use, wet-weather riding or long-term commuting.

Low-Maintenance Design

Lock-on grips are easy to install, remove and replace compared with traditional slide-on friction grips. This makes them a practical option for workshop servicing, home maintenance and custom bike builds.

Grip Length: 135mm per side
Handlebar Fit: Standard 22.2mm flat-bar grip area

Fit Recommendation

Before purchasing or installing, confirm:

Your bike uses a flat handlebar
The handlebar grip section is 22.2mm
There is enough straight bar space for 135mm grips
Brake lever and shifter positions allow correct grip placement
Clamp bolts and end plugs can be fitted securely

Installation Notes

Remove old grips and clean the handlebar surface.
Slide each grip fully into position.
Align grip pattern and logo orientation before tightening.
Tighten both clamps evenly.
Install bar end plugs securely.
Re-check clamp tightness after the first ride.

The SRAM Locking Grips are best suited to riders who want a secure, simple and durable flat-bar grip upgrade for mountain bikes, commuter bikes and everyday hard-use setups.

Product Care

Wipe grips regularly with a damp cloth.

Check clamp bolts periodically for correct tightness.
Inspect grips after crashes or heavy impacts.
Replace grips if rubber becomes shiny, torn, loose or slippery.
Check bar end plugs remain secure.
Avoid overtightening clamp bolts.
Clean sweat, sunscreen and dirt from grips after hot rides.
Re-check lever and shifter position after grip replacement.
Replace grips during major cockpit servicing if worn.

Warranty Information

Warranty coverage is subject to SRAM or retailer terms and conditions.
Warranty generally applies to manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship.
Normal wear, crash damage, incorrect installation, overtightened clamps, stripped bolts, chemical damage and cosmetic wear are generally not covered.
Correct installation and regular inspection are recommended for safety and grip security.

Bike shop and workshop feedback around lock-on grips is generally positive because they are easy to install, secure under load and simple to replace during regular servicing. Compared with traditional slide-on grips, lock-on designs are usually preferred by riders who want less movement and easier maintenance.
