7075-T651 Aluminium Construction

The Overfast Aero Alloy Chainring uses 7075-T651 aluminium, a high-strength alloy selected for its balance of stiffness, tensile strength, fatigue resistance and machining stability. This makes it well suited to high-performance road drivetrains where chainring stiffness and tooth accuracy affect shifting and power transfer.

Aero-Profiled Chainring Shape

The outer chainring is shaped with an aerodynamic profile to tidy airflow around the crank area. While chainrings are only one part of a bike’s aero system, a cleaner drivetrain profile can complement modern aero frames, deep wheels and integrated cockpits.

Hollowed Weight-Saving Sections

Overfast uses hollowed sections to remove unnecessary material while preserving stiffness where it matters. This helps keep weight controlled without turning the chainring into a flex-prone lightweight-only component.

Matched 2x Chainring Pair

The Overfast Aero Alloy Chainring is supplied as a matched outer and inner chainring set. Matched chainring pairs are important because front shifting depends on tooth shaping, chain pickup points and the relationship between the inner and outer rings.

Road Race Gearing Options

The 50/34T option is ideal for climbing, endurance riding and mixed terrain, while the 52/36T option suits stronger riders who want more top-end speed while still retaining practical climbing gears.

Black Anodised Finish

The black finish gives the chainring set a clean, premium look that pairs well with modern carbon road bikes, aero cranksets and black drivetrain components.

Fit Checklist Before Purchase:

Confirm your crank uses 110BCD 4-arm mounting.
Confirm your drivetrain is compatible with the selected chainring ratio.
Confirm your front derailleur can support the selected outer ring size.
Confirm your chain is not worn before fitting new chainrings.
Check chain length if changing chainring size.
Check bottom bracket and crank condition before installation.
Have front derailleur height, angle and limit screws adjusted after installation.

Installation Notes:

Clean the crank spider before fitting.
Install the matching inner and outer chainrings together.
Use correct chainring bolts and torque settings.
Check chainring orientation before tightening.
Adjust front derailleur height and limit screws.
Test shift under light load before riding hard.
Recheck chainring bolt torque after initial riding if recommended.

The Overfast Aero Alloy Chainring is best suited to riders who want a performance-focused 2x chainring upgrade that improves drivetrain appearance, maintains strong shifting and adds an aero-inspired finish to a modern road bike.

Product Care

Keep the chain clean and correctly lubricated.
Replace the chain before it becomes excessively worn.
Clean chainrings with bike-safe drivetrain cleaner and a soft brush.
Avoid harsh solvents that may damage anodised finishes.
Check chainring bolts regularly for correct torque.
Inspect teeth for hooking, shark-fin wear or impact damage.
Recheck front derailleur height and alignment after installation.
Avoid heavy cross-chaining under high load.
Replace cassette and chain before severe wear damages the chainrings.
Have shifting checked professionally if front shifts become noisy or inconsistent.

Warranty Information

Warranty coverage is subject to Overfast or retailer terms and conditions.
Warranty generally applies to manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship.
Normal drivetrain wear, incorrect installation, incompatible crank fitment, worn chains, crash damage, over-torqued bolts, front derailleur misadjustment and misuse are generally not covered.
Chainring life depends on chain condition, lubrication, rider power, terrain, drivetrain setup and maintenance habits.
Professional installation is recommended for correct bolt torque, chainring pairing, chain length and front derailleur adjustment.
