The Wake 6560 Evolution II utilises Princeton CarbonWorks' highly distinctive sinusoidal rim profile, developed through years of aerodynamic testing and real-world racing. Unlike conventional deep-section wheels, the alternating rim depth is designed to manage airflow more effectively across varying yaw angles, helping riders maintain speed while improving handling in gusty conditions.

A completely revised carbon laminate schedule has reduced overall rim weight while simultaneously increasing impact resistance. The rims exceed demanding impact testing standards while maintaining the stiffness required for sprinting, climbing and high-speed descending.

The wheelset features:

Advanced high-modulus carbon fibre construction
Fully hooked tubeless-compatible rim profile
Non-drilled rim bed eliminating the need for tubeless tape
Pre-balanced rims to minimise vibration at speed
Optimised aerodynamics around modern 28mm tyres
High spoke tension architecture for enhanced power transfer
Easy-to-service steel spoke configuration

The result is a wheelset that combines lightweight climbing characteristics with the aerodynamic efficiency normally associated with significantly deeper wheels.

Wheel Size: 700C

Internal Width: 22mm
Maximum External Width: 33mm
Recommended Tyre Size: 28mm optimised, compatible with a range of modern road tyre sizes

The wide internal profile supports modern performance road tyres at lower pressures, improving ride quality, rolling efficiency and grip

The Princeton CarbonWorks Wake 6560 Evolution II is ideally suited to competitive road cyclists, serious enthusiasts and riders building a dream bike for racing, fast bunch rides, endurance events or specialist climbing and aero applications.

Cycling industry reviewers and independent media covering Princeton CarbonWorks wheel development have consistently highlighted the Wake platform's ability to combine deep-wheel aerodynamic performance with the ride characteristics of significantly shallower wheels. Reviews published by cycling media including Escape Collective and CyclingTips between 2022 and 2025 frequently praised the wheelset's efficiency across varied wind conditions, responsive acceleration and distinctive ride feel.
