Notable Tech, Materials & Construction

Dual-Source Carbohydrate Formula

SiS Beta Fuel uses maltodextrin and fructose as dual carbohydrate sources. This is designed to support higher carbohydrate intake during endurance sport by using multiple absorption pathways.

1:0.8 Maltodextrin-to-Fructose Ratio

The 1:0.8 ratio is designed to help improve carbohydrate availability during exercise compared with older 2:1 style formulas. For trained athletes, this can make it easier to reach higher hourly carbohydrate targets during long events.

40g Carbohydrate Per Gel

Each 60ml gel provides a meaningful 40g carbohydrate dose, which helps simplify ride fuelling. For example, two gels per hour can provide 80g of carbohydrate before adding drink mix or other food.

Strawberry & Lime Flavour

The Strawberry & Lime profile gives riders a fruit-based flavour option that can feel lighter and fresher during long sessions, especially when alternating with orange, neutral or drink-based carbohydrate sources.

Portable 60ml Sachet

The compact sachet format fits easily into jersey pockets, running belts, top tube bags, hydration packs and race vests. It is designed for fast access during riding or racing.

Bulk 30-Pack Format

The box of 30 is ideal for regular training, coaching programs, triathlon prep, endurance events and riders who already know Beta Fuel suits their stomach and performance goals.

  • 1 gel for a short hard session or emergency energy backup
  • 2 gels for a high-intensity hour or race warm-up strategy
  • 3 to 5 gels for longer endurance rides depending on drink mix and food intake
  • 6 or more gels for long events when following a structured fuelling plan

Fuelling Guide

General endurance guidance:

  • For rides under 60 minutes, gels may not be needed unless intensity is high.
  • For 1 to 2 hours, many riders aim for 30g to 60g carbohydrate per hour.
  • For rides over 2 hours, many endurance athletes target 60g to 90g-plus carbohydrate per hour.
  • Well-trained athletes may aim for 80g to 120g carbohydrate per hour using gels, drink mix and other fuel sources.
  • Build up carbohydrate intake gradually in training to reduce stomach discomfort.
