Berd PolyLight Spokes

The standout feature of the Farsports X-Series Gravel Wheelsets is the Berd PolyLight spoke system. These polymer spokes are significantly lighter than traditional steel spokes and are known for their vibration-damping ride feel. On rough gravel, corrugated dirt roads and long mixed-surface rides, that extra compliance can reduce fatigue and improve comfort.

Carbon Gravel Rim Construction

Both X3 and X4 variants use carbon rims designed specifically for gravel and all-road riding. Carbon construction keeps weight low while maintaining stiffness for responsive acceleration and stable handling.

X3 Wide Comfort-Focused Rim

The Farsports X-Series X3 Gravel Wheelset uses a 30mm deep rim with a 30mm internal width. This is the more comfort-focused option, ideal for riders using larger gravel tyres, lower pressures and rougher terrain.

X4 Faster Aero Gravel Rim

The Farsports X-Series X4 Gravel Wheelset uses a deeper 45mm rim with a 28mm internal width. This option is better suited to riders who want extra speed on open gravel roads, rolling terrain and fast all-road sections while still maintaining wide-tyre support.

Star-Ratchet Hub System

The Farsports B306F/R star-ratchet hub system is designed for dependable engagement, sealed durability and service-friendly maintenance. Ratchet-style hubs are valued for consistent power transfer and easier servicing compared with many pawl-only hub systems.

Wide Tyre Support

Modern gravel tyres perform best when the rim supports the casing properly. The 28mm to 30mm internal widths help large tyres sit more stable through corners, improve traction on loose gravel and support lower pressures for comfort and puncture resistance.

Tubeless-Ready Performance

The Farsports X-Series Gravel Wheelsets are designed around tubeless gravel use. Tubeless setup helps reduce pinch-flat risk, allows lower pressures and improves grip on rough roads, sandy shoulders, rail trails and loose gravel.

Lightweight Gravel Race Focus

Claimed weights around 1190g to 1230g make the range extremely light for gravel wheelsets. That weight saving is especially valuable for climbing, acceleration and long endurance rides where rotating weight is noticeable.

Fit Checklist Before Purchase:

Confirm your bike uses disc brakes.
Confirm your fork axle standard.
Confirm your rear frame spacing is 12 x 142mm.
Select the correct freehub for your cassette.
Confirm your brake rotors are Center Lock.
Check tyre clearance on your frame and fork.
Choose X3 if you prioritise comfort and tyre volume.
Choose X4 if you prioritise speed and aero efficiency.

The Farsports X-Series Gravel Wheelsets are best suited to riders who want an ultra-light carbon gravel wheelset that improves comfort, reduces fatigue and delivers fast mixed-surface performance.

Product Care

Check tyre pressure before every ride.
Use tyre pressure based on rider weight, tyre volume, terrain and load.
Refresh tubeless sealant regularly.
Inspect tyres for sidewall cuts and embedded debris.
Keep brake rotors clean and away from chain lube or degreaser.
Check Center Lock rotor torque during servicing.
Avoid pressure washing hub bearings.
Clean and inspect the freehub after wet, dusty or muddy rides.
Check wheel true and spoke condition during regular gravel bike servicing.
Have Berd spoke tension checked by a qualified mechanic familiar with polymer spokes.
Inspect rims after rock strikes, pothole impacts or crashes.
Replace damaged rim tape or tubeless valves if air loss occurs.

Warranty Information

Warranty coverage is subject to Farsports Australia, Farsports and retailer terms and conditions.
Warranty generally applies to manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship.
Normal wear, crash damage, impact damage, incorrect tyre pressure, poor tubeless setup, incompatible parts, bearing contamination, spoke damage from impact, pressure washing damage and misuse are generally not covered.
Wheel life depends on rider weight, tyre pressure, terrain, maintenance habits, riding style and service frequency.
Professional setup is recommended for tubeless tyre installation, cassette fitting, rotor installation, freehub selection, disc brake alignment and Berd spoke servicing.
Riders should follow current tyre pressure and setup guidance for best safety and performance.

Dedicated independent long-form reviews of the Farsports X-Series Gravel Wheelsets are still limited because this is a newer gravel wheel platform.

Gravel Cyclist’s earlier review coverage of Farsports carbon gravel wheels from 2021 was positive about the brand’s value, carbon construction and lightweight performance, although that review covered an earlier Farsports gravel wheel platform rather than this newer X-Series model.
