40mm Aero Carbon Rim

The AR40 uses a 40mm front and rear rim depth to deliver meaningful aerodynamic efficiency without making the wheels feel nervous in crosswinds. This depth is ideal for riders who want speed on fast flat roads, rolling bunch rides and long endurance routes while keeping confident handling on descents and windy bayside roads.

25mm Internal Rim Width

The wide 25mm internal rim is designed for modern wider tyres. Compared with older narrow road rims, it gives the tyre better casing support, improved cornering feel, more stable tyre shape and better comfort at lower pressures.

Hookless Tubeless Design

The AR40 uses a hookless tubeless rim profile. When paired with suitable tubeless tyres and correct pressure, this design helps improve rolling efficiency, reduce pinch-flat risk, increase comfort and improve grip on rough Australian roads.

Wide Hookless Bead Impact Protection

ENVE’s wide hookless bead design is made to help dissipate impact forces from potholes, road edges and unexpected hits. This is especially valuable for Queensland riders dealing with rough chip seal, road debris, rail trail sections and broken shoulders.

Molded Spoke and Valve Holes

ENVE moulds spoke and valve holes into the rim rather than drilling them after construction. This keeps carbon fibres continuous around key stress points, improving strength, spoke tension integrity and long-term durability.

ENVE INNERDRIVE Hub System

The INNERDRIVE hub design places oversized ratchets inboard and over the bearings to reduce axle and bearing stress. This supports smooth rolling, positive engagement, longer bearing life and easier serviceability.

Sapim CX-Ray Spokes

Sapim CX-Ray spokes are a premium choice known for low weight, aerodynamic shaping and excellent fatigue resistance. They help the AR40 feel efficient, responsive and durable under real riding loads.

Brass Nipples

Brass nipples add durability and workshop serviceability, making them a smart choice for Australian riders who deal with humidity, wet-weather training, high mileage and regular bike servicing.

Have spoke tension and wheel true checked during regular bike servicing.

Warranty Information

Warranty coverage is subject to ENVE and retailer terms and conditions.
ENVE wheels are commonly supported by coverage for manufacturing defects and may include additional incident protection programs for eligible original owners, depending on registration and regional terms.
Normal wear, incorrect tyre use, overpressure, crash damage, impact damage, poor installation, incompatible tyres, pressure washing damage and misuse are generally not covered under standard warranty.
Professional tubeless setup is recommended for tyre seating, sealant use, cassette installation, rotor installation and safe pressure selection.
Riders should follow current ENVE hookless tyre compatibility and inflation recommendations for safe use.

ENVE positions the AR40 as a versatile Foundation-series wheel built around a 40mm aerodynamic rim, 25mm internal width, hookless tubeless construction and real-world performance for riders who want speed on and off the road. The design draws from ENVE’s long history of aerodynamic wheel development and focuses on practical road speeds, in-frame testing and confident handling rather than only idealised wind tunnel figures.

Technical coverage from wheel and tyre retailers generally highlights the AR40’s molded spoke-hole construction, INNERDRIVE hubs, Sapim CX-Ray spokes, brass nipples and gravel-standard durability testing as key reasons it stands out in the premium all-road carbon wheel category.
