Routine cleaning

Clean the cassette regularly using a soft brush and bicycle-safe drivetrain cleaner.
Remove gravel dust, mud and grass from between the sprockets.
Avoid soaking the freehub body and wheel bearings with degreaser.
Do not direct high-pressure water at the cassette or hub seals.
Rinse gently when required and dry the drivetrain thoroughly.
Remove excess chain lubricant before it attracts abrasive contamination.

Chain maintenance

Cassette longevity depends heavily on chain condition.

Use a compatible SRAM Road Flattop chain.
