Premium TORAYCA Carbon Layup

The CIMA uses a blend of TORAYCA T1100, T800 and M40 carbon fibres to balance low weight, stiffness and ride quality. This gives the frame a responsive race-bike feel while keeping overall frame mass impressively low.

Lightweight Race Frame Design

With a claimed 650g unpainted size M frame weight, the CIMA is built for riders who value climbing response, sharp acceleration and a lively ride feel.

Aero-Optimised Tube Shaping

The frame uses modern aerodynamic profiles to improve efficiency at speed, making it more versatile than a pure climbing frame. It is designed to feel fast on flats, rolling roads and climbs.

Wind Tunnel Validated Platform

The CIMA platform has undergone aerodynamic validation at Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub, supporting its performance credentials for riders seeking measurable speed gains.

Fully Internal Cable Routing

Internal routing gives the frame a clean, premium appearance while reducing exposed cables. This suits modern Shimano Di2, SRAM AXS and Campagnolo WRL builds.

BSA Threaded Bottom Bracket

The 68mm BSA threaded bottom bracket is a practical choice for long-term servicing. It is easier for most bike shops to maintain and is less prone to creaking than many press-fit systems.

CeramicSpeed SLT Headset Bearings

The included CeramicSpeed SLT headset bearings add a premium touch, improving steering smoothness and long-term durability.

SRAM UDH Compatibility

The SRAM UDH-compatible hanger improves future drivetrain support and makes replacement easier, especially for riders travelling or racing.

Product Care

Clean with mild bike-safe cleaner and water.
Avoid pressure washing around the headset, bottom bracket and bearings.
Use a calibrated torque wrench on all frame, cockpit, seatpost and bottle cage bolts.
Apply carbon assembly paste where recommended.
Inspect the frame regularly for cracks, impact marks or paint damage.
Check headset preload and bottom bracket condition during regular servicing.
Inspect the fork and steerer after any crash or major impact.
Ensure internal hoses and electronic wires are routed by an experienced mechanic.
Keep Shimano Di2, SRAM AXS or Campagnolo firmware updated where applicable.
Have the frame inspected after travel, transport damage or racing incidents.

Warranty Information

Manufacturer warranty coverage is subject to Evolve’s current terms and conditions.
Warranty generally applies to defects in materials and workmanship.
Crash damage, incorrect assembly, over-torquing, misuse, modification and normal wear are typically not covered.
Professional assembly is recommended to protect warranty eligibility and ensure safe long-term performance.

Industry commentary has generally focused on the CIMA’s combination of low weight, aero development, premium carbon material selection and strong value compared with major global race framesets.

Rider Feedback & Community Sentiment

As the Evolve CIMA range is relatively new, long-term rider feedback is still developing. Early discussion from performance cyclists and custom bike builders has been positive, especially around:

Extremely low claimed frame weight
Premium carbon fibre specification
Clean internal cable routing
BSA threaded bottom bracket
CeramicSpeed headset inclusion
32mm tyre clearance
Distinctive Matte Carbon Gold finish
Strong value compared with mainstream premium road frames

Many riders are drawn to the CIMA because it offers a high-end custom build platform with a unique look rather than following the same common premium frame choices seen in many bunch rides.
