High-Airflow Road Design

The Ibex 3 is built for riders who put ventilation and comfort first. Its open vent structure is designed to move air efficiently through the helmet, making it ideal for hot climbs, long endurance rides and humid Queensland conditions.

COOLPATH Airflow Technology

COOLPATH is designed to reduce heat build-up by creating internal airflow channels across the head. Instead of relying only on traditional padding, the helmet allows more air to circulate through the interior, helping riders stay cooler during hard efforts.

SLID Rotational Impact Protection

HJC’s SLID system uses a sliding layer concept to help reduce rotational forces during angled impacts. This is important because many real cycling crashes involve glancing or twisting impacts, not just direct vertical force.

SELFIT PRO Fit System

SELFIT PRO combines automatic fit support with a micro-adjustment dial, giving riders a secure fit that can be fine-tuned before or during a ride. This helps the helmet stay stable during climbing, descending, sprinting and rough-road riding.

EPS and Polycarbonate Shell Construction

The helmet combines an EPS impact liner with a durable polycarbonate outer shell. This construction helps balance low weight, impact absorption and everyday durability.

IONIC+ Antibacterial Padding

IONIC+ padding helps manage sweat and odour, making the Ibex 3 more practical for frequent training, hot-weather riding and repeated use between washes.

MT GL Navy Finish

The MT GL Navy colourway gives the helmet a clean, premium style that is more distinctive than black while still remaining understated and easy to match with most cycling kits.

Available Helmet Sizes

Small

Best for smaller adult riders and some junior-to-adult transition riders

Fit Recommendation

Measure around the widest part of your head, approximately 1–2cm above the eyebrows. If you sit between sizes, consider head shape, hair volume, cycling cap use and how snug you prefer your helmet to feel.

Fit Checklist

Helmet sits level and does not tilt backward
Front edge sits close to the eyebrows without blocking vision
Rear cradle sits securely at the back of the head
Side straps sit evenly around both ears
Chin strap is snug but comfortable
Helmet does not move excessively when shaking your head
Sunglasses fit cleanly with the helmet shell and straps

The HJC Ibex 3 MT GL Navy is best suited to riders who want a lightweight, ventilated and comfortable premium road helmet for climbing, endurance riding and warm-weather performance.

Best Suited For

Road cyclists prioritising ventilation
Climbers and endurance riders
Fast bunch ride cyclists

Warranty Information

Warranty coverage is subject to HJC or retailer terms and conditions.
Warranty generally applies to manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.
Crash damage, impact damage, misuse, heat damage, modification, normal wear and accidental damage are generally not covered.
Helmets should always be replaced after a crash, even if damage is not visible.
Many riders replace helmets every 3–5 years depending on use, storage, exposure and condition.
