Refined narrow cage

The E1 derailleur uses a narrower cage than earlier Force AXS designs. Reducing the space between the chain and cage means the derailleur travels a shorter distance before it begins moving the chain, particularly during an outboard shift onto the large chainring.

This produces a faster response and helps the derailleur guide the chain confidently when the rider changes gears under meaningful pedalling load. The cage has been developed around SRAM X-Range chainrings, whose shift ramps and pickup points form part of the complete shifting system.

SRAM Road Yaw technology

Yaw technology rotates the cage as it moves between the chainrings. This controlled change in cage angle helps maintain a more consistent relationship between the cage and chain as the rear derailleur moves across the cassette.

The result is more direct front shifting and improved clearance compared with a derailleur that moves only laterally.

Electronic auto trim
