SRAM DUB uses a 28.99mm spindle designed to balance stiffness, bearing size, sealing and compatibility. A frame-specific Road DUB bottom bracket connects the crankset to common threaded, press-fit and T47 road bottom-bracket shells.

DUB does not mean that one bottom bracket fits every bicycle. The correct unit must match both the SRAM Road DUB spindle and the frame’s bottom-bracket standard.

AXS connectivity

Escape Collective reviewed the SRAM Force XPLR E1 13-speed groupset on 17 June 2025. Reviewer Dave Rome found that SRAM had successfully transferred much of its premium RED XPLR technology into the more attainable Force range. The review highlighted robust chain control, excellent shifting and compatibility with SRAM’s 12-speed Flattop chain despite the 13-speed cassette. It also identified Force as the practical performance tier below RED, providing most of the flagship system’s functional benefits at a lower cost.

In a direct comparison published on 31 March 2026, Escape Collective examined SRAM Force XPLR E1 against Shimano GRX Di2. The SRAM system was praised for its straightforward installation, secure chain management, broad choice of crank lengths, chainring sizes and power-meter options.
