Scope Artech 4.A Wheelset
The Scope Artech 4.A Wheelset is built for riders who want one premium wheelset that can climb efficiently on sealed roads, stay composed in crosswinds, and handle smooth gravel at speed. With a 45mm rim profile and a claimed 1200g total set weight, Artech 4.A targets that ideal “fast everywhere” balance: light enough for steep climbs, aerodynamic enough for rolling terrain, and stable enough when conditions turn gusty—perfect for mixed routes across Queensland and Australia.
This model uses a modern wide rim platform with a 25mm internal width and 33.7mm external width, optimised around 30mm tyres. That wider internal width improves tyre support and reduces sidewall deformation, helping cornering grip and steering precision while allowing lower pressures for comfort on rougher paved roads and smooth gravel. The rim bed is hooked and tubeless-ready, so you can run tubeless for a smoother ride and improved puncture resilience, or fit clinchers with tubes if you prefer a simple setup and easy roadside repairs.
Scope’s design approach blends aerodynamics with durability. Rim shaping is guided by Algorithm Enhanced Aerodynamics (AEA), while the rim surface texture (“Aeroscales”) is designed to stabilise airflow and reduce drag—useful for exposed climbs, open roads, and windy ridge lines common in Australian riding. To keep weight low without sacrificing strength, Scope uses Local Reinforcement carbon construction, adding targeted carbon layers around spoke hole areas to preserve stiffness and reliability.
At the centre is Scope’s standout hub platform: Artech 3D‑printed hubs made from Scalmalloy, created through topology optimisation to remove unnecessary material while keeping structural strength. A 36T Diamond Ratchet SL engagement system (titanium with a diamond‑like carbon finish) provides fast, direct pickup for punchy accelerations and repeated surges. Lightweight Carbonlite Aerospokes deliver high lateral stiffness for efficient climbing and confident handling, with an 18/24 spoke count tuned for performance under load.
Artech 4.A also arrives ready for workshop‑level setup: tubeless valves and rim tape are pre‑installed, and Scope includes tools, cleaning materials, and padded wheel bags—ideal for riders upgrading key bike parts through specialist bike shops or booking professional bicycle service support across Brisbane and Australia.
